Bryan Buttemer founded ScanMin during 2000 to capitalise on the local opportunity of supplying and supporting the analysers. Keith Buttemer joined him early in 2001 to focus on market development and to implement the marketing strategies.
Initially significant resistance was experienced to the concept of real time, on-line bulk analysis of material. However, by supplying reliable instruments, effective and efficient after sales support, maintenance and services to the industry and the supplied equipment, ScanMin were instrumental in overcoming the previous misconceptions in the market. ScanMin now boats a variety of operational analysers in the field, which serve as valuable reference sites for the equipment and service supplied by the company.
Scanmin are now a global company operating in many different countries with installations in China, Russia, Australia and sub Saharan Africa.
