Supply of instrumentation for measurement of key valuable analytes does not end with supply of the analyser. ScanMin has experienced and qualified teams or personnel dedicated to the:

  5. Continued remote monitoring and support, remote updates and calibration performance tracking

Site Services

ScanMin have a highly technical and competent team and for Hot commissioning and analyser calibrations and invest in the continuous training of personnel. ScanMin have a dedicated mentorship program which ensures that as we grow, we have home grown technical competency.
Our site teams work closely with our project management and SHEQ experts to ensure that systems and procedures are correctly adhered to while remaining on project timelines.

Calibration

ScanMin understand that calibration is an essential part of our supply which is often constrained by :
  • Lack of representative samples
  • High Costs for sampling
  • Long laboratories turnaround times
Our team use an ISO presented calibration methodology with the known Plant data as a basis to develop relevant and accurate calibrations site reference standard which reduces the amount of sampling, and additional laboratory analysis costs.

Research and Development

New chemical or metallurgical applications, may require some additional factory test work.
The Research and Development headed up by Dr Viljoen, consider all new applications. Applications go through a cycle of evaluation to determine the most effective way to evaluate the likelihood that field installation will be successful.
This includes theoretical modelling analysis of the elements and combinations of analytes that requires measurement and consider the Probability of Neutron Inelastic Scatter (NIS) and Thermal Neutron Capture (TNC) reactions.
Recommendation for further test work may be required to see if the best suited technology of either:
Natural Gamma
or
Fast Neutron Dual Activation Analysis
will then be made.
If some target concentrations require validation a test program can be undertaken at Scanmin Roodepoort facility.

Logistics and Administration

Efficient logistics and administration are critical to ensure that spares are available, and packaging is to required standard, and shipping is on allocated schedules. Vendor and financial aspects are dealt with by our competent and experienced financial team.
